If there were negative stars for service I would have graded “Eddie” a -10. First of all I cannot believe as a food server his choice of hygiene is accepted at this establishment. My husband and I found his beard hair in our food!? Disgusting. As a past employee in the food business I did not want to go directly to his superiors so I very kindly made him aware of the hairs across my entree and his reaction was “what do you want me to do about it” I was appalled. During the course of our stay we took notice to Eddie making frequent trips to the men’s room and acting irratically and speaking as if he was under the influence, but the icing on the cake was visually watching him make a hand to hand contact with someone exchanging “something” for money. Finks, this should be unacceptable and someone should be more aware of what the employees are doing if the customers are!! Other than that, the bartender was great and drinks tasted wonderful, and clean atmosphere

Fink's has the best BBQ around :-) I've worked there for 7 months now and the food is always a 10 out of 10. The staff is the best and the atmosphere is great...along with our loyal customers and regulars. If you haven't tried Fink's, I highly recommend you do!

Unassuming place to get your beef on. The best ribs I have ever had in NY. Meaty, tasty, smoky, perfect. I also recommend the wings, delicious. The pulled pork was fantastic and I highly recommend it. I will be back, and I highly recommend!!

I've been ordering delivery from here for awhile and finally dined in for the 1st time recently. The service was great and the food is awesome, definitely the best BBQ in the area.... which is a shame because I could not believe how grimy and unclean the entire place is!! There are fruit flies everywhere, all around you when you are eating inside, even in the bathroom, and this is in the middle of winter time. I can't even imagine what it's like in the summer like some other reviews have mentioned. The air vent in the bathroom has 7 inches of caked on dust. The list goes on and on. I LOVE hole in the wall places and totally respect an old school BBQ joint kind of feel, but some basic hygiene is still expected. What I don't understand is why in the world the owners of this place wouldn't just do some basic and minimal cleaning upkeep. With the level of fruit flies buzzing I can't even imagine the state of the kitchen. Wake up! You have incredible food and a place with a great atmosphere, just do some basic level cleaning here on a consistent basis!! Isn't that restaurant ownership 101? Will never order from here again unfortunately, it's such a shame.

This was my 3rd time at Finks and was again pleasantly surprised with the experience. I stopped by on my way down state from a long day on the road. I ordered brisket and a half rack of ribs with collard greens, two orders of mac and cheese, and beans. The wait time was a little longer than expected, around 20 minutes, but I enjoyed a Blue Moon with orange while waiting. The waitress was very friendly and truly made me feel welcome. Everything was very good. I love BBQ and know the time and dedication it takes for truly good BBQ so I always go out of my way to experience places. I gave Finks 4 out of 5 stars. Its above average BBQ. Not the best I have had but far from the worst! My only "gripe" were the ribs which were slightly "burnt" which I think happened while they were being reheated. I`m taking a guess with that because the meat was tender but the crust was a bit crispy. Having smoked my share of ribs, I know heating them up can be tricky but covering them with foil usually does the trick. All in all though, everything was very good. I was really happy to see that collard greens on the menu and actually available. So many places have them on the menu but don`t actually have them. Collard greens are very time consuming to prep and cook and so is brisket so the fact that Finks actually had both items on a Thursday night leaves me impressed. The mac and cheese was simple but tasty as well. Another minor gripe was the portion size of the beans. It was about two tablespoons worth of beans which is not much. Finks should serve up at least 3x more beans than they currently offer and I think that would suffice. The atmosphere was nice as well. I don`t like eating in loud places. There was a tv playing the hockey game with the volume down which is much appreciated. There was music playing over the speakers and live music by the bar area but nothing was overwhelmingly loud which I appreciate very much. Finks is conveniently located and makes for a great pitstop if you`re making your way up or down state. Parking: I didn`t count parking spots but there were probably around 12-15 spots if I had to guess and there is additional parking down the street.
