Great views of the amphitheatre from the back patio. Amazing food and service, and the best wine selection. Everything is delicious and I recommend trying the tangled oaks wine.
We expected more…I didn’t even take pictures, which I should have for reference. We ordered the grouper and pork chops; what restaurant serves entrees with no sides included for $26-$40 a plate? The waiter said the pork was tender enough to cut with a fork, so he didn’t bring a knife, and of course it wasn’t . Interior was dated and bathroom was dirty. The waiter was nice, however this is a skip for the price - HEB has better food.
I have mixed reviews on this place. The food, some of it was good some was terrible. This place has huge potential but needs more attention to detail. Presentation definitely needs attention. The wait staff was helpful and the service was not too bad. It’s hard to put a finger on it but this place just needs some better management. Parking: There is no parking. Only parking was 1/4 mile down the road for $10.
Between when I booked my reservation and the day I was supposed to have dinner here, the place permanently closed without any notification. No, that’s not true. An hour before my res time I got a “are you still planning to come” text, even though the place is locked up and dark. Frustrating. Pizza place next door was good though.
I recently dined at Fig Tree restaurant in San Antonio, TX, and it was an outstanding experience. The food was superb, showcasing a delightful blend of flavors that left my taste buds thoroughly satisfied. The head chef's passion for culinary excellence was evident in every dish, and their friendly demeanor added a personal touch to the dining experience. The servers were exemplary, providing attentive and efficient service throughout the meal. Overall, Fig Tree offers not just a meal but a culinary journey, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts in San Antonio.
Service was very marginal None of the below items are on the menu, wines we selected from the card were not available
Learn how to update your website. My partner had made a reservation for our anniversary and received confirmation from the restaurant only to arrive at a closed restaurant. The website showed y’all were open, we tried calling multiple times, and received no response. Very disappointing.
I have no idea why they reopened. Unaccommodating to previously noticed ADA accessibility needs, slow drink service, unannounced reduced food menu, and rude wait staff. Best of luck to the new owners. Came for my birthday and didn’t want to stay. Came for my 21st 7 years ago and it taught me a hard lesson. You shouldn’t try to re-create perfect memories, you should only try to re-create new ones. I recommend no one try to create new memories at this place.
we came here last year and had excellent service. not so much this visit. i ordered tomato soup that never came. my husbands salad arrived with our main course . we would have ordered dessert but it was never offered. it took her forever to bring our check. that being said, the food was excellent. Vegetarian options: ok
