Ferus Artisan Ales

Great service and pleasantly surprised to see the jackfruit sandwich on the menu. Hope that lasts - it was amazing!

Great atmosphere, good beers and Amanda was great, one of the best bartenders I had, she even reminded me that I had a plane to catch. And the fries were great, too.

Prices are a bit too steep compared to other places. However the venue is great

Always enjoy going to Ferus! Laid back atmosphere. Very kid and pet friendly (leashed... For the pets).

I usually limit my consumption of beef and pork, but when I get a hankering for a hamburger, I want it to be a good one. Some time ago I read in the Led (the on line of the Birmingham News) that Ferus Artisan Ales is a great place to get a burger, so my wife and I tried it for lunch last week. The Led was right about their hamburgers. I ordered the Feral Burger with a a side of potato salad while my wife ordered the blackened shrimp poor boy with fries. The hamburger was great. The two patties were very tasty with somewhat crunchy surfaces. My wife really liked the shrimp poorboy. It always fall to me to finish what she doesn’t eat, and I enthusiastically agree. My potato salad was very good, a little vinegary, but after having a few of my wife’s fries, I ordered a side order of fries as well. A few minutes later more fries than I could possibly eat arrived at our table. They were the best fries I have had, maybe ever. They were lightly breaded which made their surfaces somewhat crunchy contrasting withe soft center. I have to admit that paying $15 for a hamburger and fries is a bit steep, but hey, it’s not often that I have a hamburger. We will definitely be back; both my wife and I saw other items on the menu ewe want to try.

I come here twice a week and I always enjoy the atmosphere and exceptional customer service. The food is delicious and chef always has new specials to try. I’ve been living in Trussville for 15 years. It’s great to have a place like Ferus in our community. They appreciate me and I appreciate them. Overall, the city has done good work with the Trussville Entertainment District.

Love this place great food great environment and the reason it’s getting 3 stars is I saw the other night when I picked up an order an employee was wearing house shoes or slides ! I mean really what are the owners thinking employees get hot grease or something dropped on their feet they gonna sue

Great location, great atmosphere, great food, great beer. Fantastic location to hang out with friends and family! Ferus has been a wonderful addition to Trussville! Love the courtyard area!
