Sunday lunch after church with the family. I had passed by the nearby Fat Beet Farm and decided to try it out. Easy to find, most parking is on a grass lot on the north side but also parking in the rear. Because the inside is basically order and/or pickup, there are covered patios in front and back plus tables on the front lawn. The most difficult part was getting all the orders together for four adults and two teens. We let several customers go by us while we occupied one of the two order kiosks. Finally the crew decided on two Cubans, two French Dips, Power Chicken, Butternut Squash soup, Bacon Spinach Quiche, Mac & Cheese, Chocolate Muffin and Blueberry Pie. Paid for order then picked up drinks, cutlery and napkins and sat at a large table. In a short time our meals came. As our usual practice, we shared our food. Cubans were good, French Dips were good, Mac & Cheese ok. Power Chicken was excellent. The Spinach Quiche was good but my wife’s is better. Butternut Squash was excellent. The Chocolate Muffin was a flop, not even my wife, a Chocoholic, like it. But the Blueberry Pie was the favorite. Wonderful ambiance, great fresh choices and nice patio seating for nice weather. Wish we could have seen the Farm.
I absolutely LOVE Fat Beet Farm Kitchen and Bakery. I'm so grateful to have them in the neighborhood. Every visit has been exceptional, from the food to the staff to the atmosphere. The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and grown on the farm. The staff are some of the kindest people, and you can tell they take pride in their work (as they should because the produce, market items, baked goods, and breakfast/lunch items are all top notch). I always look forward to popping in on the weekends for lunch, produce, and a few baked goods. If you're in the area and don't stop by, that's 1000% your loss.
Awesome fresh food. French dip Cuban and chicken sandwiches are my favorite. Have to try the blueberry scone
We have been coming to their farm kitchen for brunch/lunch once a month for about a year and absolutely love it! I personally recommend trying a dish with their biscuits as they are amazing, but you really can’t go wrong with any item served from here as it’s all great! Their sourdough bread is also some of the best I’ve had in the area and is priced pretty reasonably as well.
Every bite was outstanding. Very nice staff and friendly service. The world needs more food establishments like this. Keep it up!
You feel like your getting back to nature. You are on a farm. They have two cash registers but only one cashier. Takes a little patience. I highly recommend the experience and to take the tour as well. Vegetarian options: Lentil soup, beet salads, and a variety of other items Dietary restrictions: The have gluten free Parking: Lots of parking both in the back and all of the sides of the driveway.
