Farmacy Vegan Kitchen

Man I LOVED this place when they first opened, they were one of the first exclusively vegan spots in the Bay Area, St Pete had quite a few but that is a quite a trek for me for a quick eat-out option. Over the years though they have just become so commercial in product and their service is like going to a chain fast food place. Luckily now-a-days most nice restaurants have at least one decent vegan option so I can eat out at non vegan establishments. I think Farmacy’s decline started when they tried to open a second location so close to the first one, I think if they tried opening one in North Tampa or Riverview/Brandon area they definitely could’ve pulled it off. Anyway, now their food doesn’t taste as fresh or as flavored, it’s bland and tastes like it was produced in bulk, frozen, and then reheated to serve, they’re closed half the week, they stopped making their own desserts (and no offense to “WeVegan” but their desserts taste like what someone on a meat-based thinks vegan food tastes like) to top it all off they sporadically close outside their own schedule, without posting or updating it anywhere, so you don’t know until you’ve gone all the way there, I’ve also had DoorDash orders where it just keeps saying “confirming order” for 30 mins or more until a delivery driver gets there and says they aren’t open. Super unprofessional.

The sticky buns were my favorite! We had the avacado "BLT" wrap and macaroni and "cheese" and they were soooooo good!!! My son is lactose intolerant and almost two years old. It was fun giving him mac&cheese for the first time. My family and I will be going here often... After visiting later… they did go for quantity and lean into what sold best instead of the original super clean bent with which they began. Still yummy!! Maybe more yummy… but more of the heavy food feeling of meat. Maybe you’re into that? If so, it’s gotten even better. Vegetarian options: Have your cake and eat it too! This place cooks vegetarian for you!! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free etc available Parking: On the street or the paid parking across the street from the entrance.

Great place to go, but seems their menu caters to replace "meat". When you are vegan you are plant based. Impossible meat is the worst thing for your health. So many alternatives such as jackfruit, mushrooms, etc. Nice place to take people you want to try that are not vegan.

Used to love getting the mac and cheese here but then they quietly (and needlessly?) added sunflower seeds to the recipe and I had a terrible allergic reaction that left me in pain for the rest of the day. Disappointed.

The chocolate chip cookie I ordered taste like soap horrible

Nice vegan dishes that are freshly prepared. Service staff were professional and knowledgeable.
