For my birthday this year my husband and BFF sent me on a solo vacation of a lifetime. I had ZERO time to prepare. When I got to my hotel in Colorado Springs I did a google search of nearby restaurants and decided that The Famous Steak House sounded like the perfect restaurant for my relaxing get away. From the moment I walked through the door I knew this place was special. The host was so welcoming and helpful. My waitress went above and beyond to help me chose my meal. When I told her the reason for my trip (too long of a story for a review), she really pulled out all the stops. I started with scallops topped with caviar, nestle over garlic mashed potatoes. My entre was a perfectly cooked medium rare filet mignon with the cashew brussel sprouts. I ended the meal with a wonderful cake with chocolate, peanut butter, and an amazing whipped toping. I will be back in the area in the fall and will definitely make it a priority to eat here again.
The service and food were awesome, fair price
You have to eat here. Everything was amazing. The drinks, the appetizer, the main course, and the dessert were top-notch. It's super upscale food in a relaxed environment. The sides are served family style, which means you get a lot. My recommendation is to get the garlic fries. They are perfectly crispy, and if you heat them up the next day, they taste as amazing as the night before. I can't say enough good things about The Famous. It's worth the trip.
Best steaks we've had since moving to Colorado! We'll be back!
Great experience here! The staff were attentive and the food was absolutely amazing! Not only were the steaks incredible, the onion rings were to die for!!!

Jeff, Dion, Ben, Josh were fantastic! Great experience and great food.
Best steak I've ever had!!!
All I say is wow. I wish I could remember my servers name because I would like to give her a shout-out. She was outstanding, kind, and helpful. The food was very good. Some of the best I have had. I felt the "add-on" lobster was a little pricey, but it and the main dish was very good. I will pay for good food and experiences. The atmosphere was top-notch. Leather seating, black table tops, 50's crooner music playing in the background made the experience. I do wish that there was even the most modest of dress codes because there were those in blue jeans and t-shirts. This is not a casual dining experience. Prices were reasonable based on the dining experience. Will be back when I am in town again.
