1/28. Ordered again last night. They makr the best sicilian. We've ordered before and we pick-up! The Sicilian pizza is amazing. It's the best we've had in this area. Next time we'll try their other items on the menu. I would recommend for sure. Parking: Parking is a bit rough but you can always find a spot even if you have to walk a bit.
I had penne and broccoli with Alfredo sauce and everything was completely over cooked and tasted so bland. The amount of Parmesan and black pepper I put on didn't even make the food taste good. Not worth almost $50 for two dishes
I ordered pasta with broccoli oil and garlic. I don't know what happened to this place. It used to be consistent and the food was always good to great. I cook a lot of Italian food and I know that this pasta was likely put in the to go container, stuck together and unseasoned (no salt in the water I'm guessing) and not sauteed with the broccoli and garlic. The broccoli was over cooked and there wasn't enough garlic but the garlic was so under cooked that the broccoli had no flavor. I couldn't put enough Parmesan on it to make it any better and had to throw it away without even eating half. My wife had penne with broccoli and Alfredo sauce. Her food was bland and the pasta was overcooked and falling apart. The broccoli, again, over cooked and dumped on top. She too couldn't finish even half. We had to eat the terrible bread that came with the order to get the taste of the pasta dishes out.
I just wish it was a bigger spot!!! Vegetarian options: You can order items w/o meat or cheese + that have great salad selections. Parking: The pizza shop is located next to several stores. You'll get parking but it might not be right in front of the place.
I ordered a margherita pizza, this is what they gave me. They need to go back to italy to learn how to make it. They threw tomatoes on top and called it margherita. Disappointed.
My fav pizza place right now
We were in the area and happened to stop in for a couple of slices and a salad. What a pleasure to see a familiar face from the old neighborhood of 241st and White Plains Rd! The food, service, and atmosphere were as good, if not better, than I remembered. You have to try Grandma slice! Definitely will be back.
Best old school NY pizza around
