They skimp on the lox/ cream cheese. Only one side and it barely covers the bagel. I mean the whole point of loving bagels is the cream cheese spread.
Straightforward bagels (with all the toppings) and bagel-based breakfast sandwiches. For anyone familiar with New York or Montreal style, these bagels are fluffier with more of a chew than crunch — something unfortunately common in California.
This being one of the few breakfast options on Castro I decided to try it. I ordered the Lox sandwich because I’ve been craving a lox bagel. I got it with the jalapeño bagel and I liked the bagel part but with so many cucumbers and tomatoes in between it was messy and fell apart easily, I would’ve preferred less veggies and a little more salmon. For $14s I was disappointed. If I ever go back I’ll just get a bagel with spread.
There’s truly no accounting for taste; only reason this chain exists. These aren’t bagels btw, they’re pasty dinner rolls. Try Daily Driver if you’re interested in bagels
Great bagel place with a wide selection of sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. They also have good donuts and other pastries. They have a nice selection of beverages, including a tasty iced chai.
Solid breakfast spot. Good, fast service. Bagels are excellent. I recommend if in the neighborhood looking for a good, quick bite.
