Falafel Scoop & Shawarma

The place and seating are small because the owner put their entire heart into the food, and it shows. Falafel made fresh in front of you, generous portions, fast service. I won't go anywhere else for falafel. The hot fava beans are also amazing and I can't get over the quality and quantity of food for the price. The seating is basic, maybe not a first date place, but they do often play sweet videos of birds singing in nature. Vegetarian options: Most of the menu is vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: The lentil soup is vegan, as are the falafel, baba ghanouj, hummus, and sandwiches with pita bread not saj bread.

Quick update: March 2024 Still amazing! love the chicken kebab and the smoked rice and honestly everything they make. the best in Ottawa 2022: Was recommend to me by a friend because they make the falafel fresh, so it's crispy outside and heavenly inside. I am so happy I listened! The cook was friendly, and they respect distance during covid + very clean. We ordered: saj sandwich classic sandwich (pita) baba ghanoush tabouleh The pita and saj bread are made fresh especially for falafel scoop, and everything else is made at falafel scoop! Super fresh and tasty. The baby ghanoush had a smokey flavor to it and some pomegranate seeds spinkled on top. The tabouleh was lemony and delicious as well. And I'm in love with the sandwich! My partner and I were very impressed and Falafel scoop will be part of the roster now. Thank you, Falafel Scoop!

Before today I thought that falafel was just something you endured if you wanted non-meat Lebanese food. At Falafel scoop, every crispy, fluffy morsel is cause for your tastebuds to celebrate. The eggplant and yogurt dip is a garlicky revelation. The lentil soup is hearty and comforting. The pita is fresh, tahini tangy. My new go-to shawarma spot.
