A very special place full of meanings. The best food ever and an incredible art gallery!
Great Middle Eastern food! Try the mansif and Dolma. Enjoy authentic food surrounded by beautiful art.
Small family business in rosecrans. Came and ordered a tea. The tea was good. I saw the owners mingle with customers.
Excellent food - very "homestyle" feel. Yes it's in a strip mall but the walls are decorated with owners art - so again "homestyle" - not fancy but it is authentic charm. I was in for a light dinner before a show but plan on coming back.
Great food, friendly people, and beautiful artwork. And all this is an understatement.
Breathtakingly wonderful gem in San Diego: an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant. Fantastic food, made and shared with love and accompanied by beautiful art. The food is homemade and delicious, light and flavorsome. We had the best baba ghanouj we've had in San Diego and perhaps anywhere outside the Middle East. The hummus is excellent, and the stuffed grape leaves were fabulous. The homemade baklawa is slightly scented with rose water, and not too sweet, unlike that served in most Mediterranean restaurants. And the Turkish coffee is excellent, made in the traditional way and flavored with cardamom. My companion loved the homemade lemonade especially the version served with rose water. This restaurant has many vegetarian options! The Al-Nashashibi family welcome their patrons with genuine warmth, and will spend time with you if you wish to chat and learn their story. It's an interesting one and you can learn more at their website. Ibrahim, one of the two brothers who runs the restaurant is an internationally known artist whose works decorate the restaurant. We are lucky to have this restaurant in our community. We found it by accident for lunch. But we'll be coming back to try more of their dinner menu!
First time visiting San Diego and I wanted some authentic food, this place delivered in every way. The food is fantastic (I had mansaf and baba ghanouj). However, my favorite part was actually meeting the owners (Sami and his brother), who are the sweetest people you can meet. They were super hospitable, I felt like I was being taken care of at my mom’s house eating food made with love! The restaurant is a great atmosphere and incredibly decorated with a gallery of the owner’s paintings. I purchased a beautiful print and a card with a poem - all of which are his own work and he shared me a personal backstory behind the print I picked up that I appreciated so much! Thank you to the family running this business for 40+ years, الله يرزقكم و يوفقكم ❤️ next time I’m in San Diego, I will be back!
Amazing and Authentic Palestinian food . The owner is always welcoming. Truly treats you like a member of the family every time you walk in
Excellent, authentic Lebanese food. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly owners/staff. We will definitely be back.
