Fairmont Waterfront

We checked into this hotel on a recommendation. It was my husband’s birthday and they treated us like vips. Starting with arrival, Mikey greeted us with the warmest welcome. A smile, and a helping hand. Rosie checked us in and her warmth emanated. She was so lovely and sincere. We had a small bite to eat in the restaurant (one of many during our stay) and Bruna and James (from Nova Scotia ) were effortless in their delivery of impeccable service. Now for the piéce de résistance; Monica. Monica, the concierge made our trip more than we could’ve dreamed. From the restaurant, shopping and activity recommendations, to the lovely, sincere conversations, Monica was perfect. Her name is gold, as was evidenced by everywhere we went. We were treated like royalty, and the places we went they were genuinely happy to have us. Even when we didn’t have reservations, but told our host that Monica recommended them, they rolled out the red carpet. A lot of it is “Canada nice”, but most of it is the clear love Monica has for her position, and her desire to show her guests the best of Vancouver. She was knowledgeable, patient, professional, personable and intuitive. It was so hard to leave, but hope to see the same team on our next visit.

amazing- nothing bad to say at all. Staff helped me organize a reception in less than 4 hours in one of the suites. Fantastic.

This place has very rude security I came here to quickly use the washroom since Vancouver has a lack of public washrooms and this Fat caucasian guy this place employs as a security guard gives me attitude like he thinks he's a cop I was kinda nervous he might attack me. Seriously train your security better or you might have a lawsuit filed in the future.

Location: Right at the harbour for stunning views, directly connected to The Expo Line via the underground mall. Staff: Whomever checked us in put on a great show — that is, made a big deal about finding us an upgrade, yet somehow a welcome gift and note were already waiting in our room. No matter, we're fans of the theatre ;) Room: We booked the cheapest available twin via AMEX FHR (with a free night) and scored a very nice upgrade to a harbour view room. We also had a couple of unannounced visitors outside; someone has clearly been feeding seagulls through the open window pane. Internet & TV: Like any Fairmont, connecting your phone or tablet to the TV is a breeze. We didn't test WiFi speed but it seemed fine. Food: After two weeks in Asia it was very comforting to sit down to a plate of proper blueberry pancakes. Entrées, coffee (an entire pot, btw) and juice were all brought to our table, while the buffet had more hot items in addition to pastries and fruit. Room service was similarly great. We had always thought of the Waterfront as a poor cousin to the Pacific Rim down the street; after our stay here I think we prefer it!

Our stay here was wondering and AJ at the front desk made our experience at the Fairmont Waterfront one to remember. He was so thoughtful and kind throughout our stay and it really made it feel very special

An excellent hotel located at Vancouver's waterfront, only steps to cruise ships. Has all the amenities you could ask for.
