I ordered a smoke old fashion, but there wasn't any smoke :( Bartenders seem new to this business.
Very nice hotel Hyatt Centric the restaurant is connected to. However I went to get a cup of coffee to go due to the storm outside so I can hv in my room. I asked for large there's only one size 12 oz. I get the bill it says $6.33. I was surprised since on the menu it states $5.00. I give a dollar tip, brings it to $7.33 for one 12 oz coffee. Looked up online says to go bev according to CA gov tax guide with the exception of carbonated or alcoholic bev no tax on coffee tea to go. Normally I wouldn't even bother with a review but I felt like bait & switch. I'm a guest at the hotel for days so it's not about a couple dollars. I wanted to bring this to the attention of the establishment so other hotel guests or customers in general will not be unpleasantly surprised by a similar experience or know what can occur. I called to ask but put on hold long enough for me to decide to write instead.
Was there for happy hour. Drinks were good. Lime chicken wings were crispy with meat on the bone. A huge amount of fries and 3 sliders which were tasty with good buns.
Got breakfast here twice now so far and was pretty happy both times. The avocado toast and salmon toast were both great, especially the charred lemon and orange slices. Totally stealing that for home. I still prefer the avocado toast at the Marriott Bistro, where they have a really nice multigrain bread for a base, squeeze a bit of extra acid over it for brightness, and finish with a little sea salt, but this one's a better deal and more filling with an additional egg and bigger toast (they're always serving me the tiny end of the loaf at Bistro and charging me full price). I will say having cream cheese and smoked salmon on not-a-bagel made my brain go "tilt" a little. (Not in a bad way per se, especially since it's so hard to find a decent bagel on this coast. IDK why San Francisco can do sourdough so well and then suck so hard at bagels.)
Great place, tasty food, google service
The restaurant is located inside Hyatt, where we stayed a couple of days. The hotel does not provide room service. However, you can take out food to your room, which we did twice for dinner. The food is outstanding. We had the roasted chicken, veal chop, and salmon dishes. All were excellent. The Carmel Pinot Noir and their Margaritas are very enjoyable. The usher/waiter and other staff were very nice. Overall highly recommended!
Food is pretty good and tasty. However the service is really hit or miss. Some wait staff are really friendly, others have a real attitude and act like you’re inconveniencing them by asking to order. Given the wrong check and again grumbled at. Quite disappointing and makes you feel unwelcome.
