Facing East Noodle & Bar

Been wanting to try this spot finally I did today. Food is delicious, its very tasty and savory, the price is reasonable and adequate amount. I ordered the Braised Beef Noodles and I really like it. When placing order you have to scan the QR code provided and order from your phone and once paid they get notified and bring those orders to your table. I gave 4 stars because since Im paying upfront with tips included im expecting more service from the server. Maybe check in on us if theres anything we need or atleast refill our water little things count. Other than that I will still come back to this place.

Ok. I thought it was gonna be just another ramen. I got the black garlic ramen with chicken and a side of steamed pork dumplings. The dumplings were really good. The ramen came and the first mouthful blew me away. That garlic flavor was just an explosion. I would definitely go back again and again. Really good portions and really reasonable prices.

The black garlic ramen is the best ramen in all of San Diego. Other ramen is good, but the broth in the black garlic ramen is absolutely phenomenal. Yes, parking is challenging on Convoy St, but it is worth it for the ramen.

It was okay. My Roman didn't like the fact there were so fee veggies and egg wasn't the usual type served at this type restaurant. It was just hard boiled NOT marinated type which was disappointing. Also lacked veggies.

The food was amazing. Ordered the Black Garlic Oil Ramen, the Tongkatsu Ramen, a skewer of chicken hearts, quail eggs, the Takoyaki balls, the animal buns, a matcha beer, and the passionfruit cocktail. Everything was delicious and came quick! I'm glad my coworkers recommended this place! Great prices!

Not sure why anyone would give this place less than 5 stars! The ramen and dumplings were so good we came back within a week to have more. Our new favorite spot for ramen

Facing East Noodle & Bar is located in a busy strip mall and parking during peak time is very limited. We got there a few minutes before they opened at noon. Restaurant has a funky scent even with their door opened. We picked a table that was closest to the door. There was one waitstaff and it took 5 minutes before she bought us cold water. We had to scan the QR code to view menu and placed order with waitstaff. We were the first customer there today. Service was very slow. We ordered four dishes, most of them took over 10 minutes and the pork Xiao Long Bao took 20 minutes. There were only two other groups of people there, so if you want a quick lunch, this is not a place for you. Food is average and expensive for the small portions they served. We liked the egg custard baos and the spicy wontons in savory sauce. Pork Xiao Long Bao could have been better if they were filled more ingredients. We were disappointed that the braised beef noodle soup was watered down and bland and beef was not exactly braised in the traditional way. We came here especially for the braised beef noodle soup but will probably not coming back until improvement is made.

Mediocre food for 50 bucks and a plastic cup to drink out of. Weird place.

Good ramen at a reasonable price. Definitely worth a try. We ordered popcorn chicken, spicy pork dumplings, honey spicy tofu, laksa ramen, miso ramen and spicy garlic ramen, all were very good except for the dumplings, the sauce was not quite right.

Parking was hard to find but the food is absolutely worth it! The ramen was big and everything came out quickly. Highly recommend.
