Evoq Sarasota

I booked this meal for our anniversary meal and the food was DIVINE. Our waiter was great too. The descriptions we found online were a little misleading as I thought it was a rooftop restaurant with great food (which is why I booked it).... we did end up going to the rooftop bar after dinner - the view is amazing and had a great vibe, but a different menu (not what I would've picked for a special meal). I am not sure why but the restaurant was pretty much empty - so not a great vibe. Perhaps because we booked it for 8:30pm? Not sure - the food made up for the poor ambience and then we went upstairs to the rooftop bar to cap off the night. Knowing what it was - I would still come here again to eat at Evoq and drink upstairs, but perhaps make an earlier booking so there were a few more people in there?

This is a gem. Food selections for breakfast are great. GLUTEN free options and WHOLE FOOD PLANT base options. Food taste is great. Service is amazing. Our server was Gina with beautiful smile everyday and humble. She goes extra mile to provide the best service. A great asset to this restaurant. Service was awesome. Some of the breakfast items were great, but the scrambled eggs were really bad and needed copious amounts of hotsauce to mask the weird flavor. The mini pastries are delicious and oats were good. Please change the eggs and have an option of Starbucks blonde for those who don't like burnt coffee.

Checked into the hotel and was at the restaurant when it opened as I had not had lunch. Ordered the $39 skirt steak and a cocktail. While waiting for my entree, I asked for some bread and was told they had none! No salad came with the meal. While the beef was tender with a good flavor, the meat and sauce were all mixed together with the sweet potato puree with unseasoned steamed broccoli dotting the plate instead of the brocolleni in oil and garlic that I requested. With tip over $70 and I was hungry an hour later. Would not go again.

La comida en realidad es exquisita aunque el menú no es amplio ya que solo tienen una sola hoja. El servicio no es el mejor del mundo pero dan buenos concejos y explican bien los platos y en cuanto al ambiente, cuando fue solo habían 2 mesas ocupadas o sea prácticamente vacío.

Amazing place, had some issue but when I was planning to leave and never come back here again the manager was super helpful and listened to us. Chris you’re amazing at your job and I’m glad we got to chat. I thank you that you aren’t like the other managers that just leave us in the dark and helped us with a conclusion. Hope to see you tomorrow!

Came here for a birthday dinner, but our waiter seemed very unhappy and like he didn’t want to be bothered with our group. He had a flat affect and just made the atmosphere not very fun. Don’t know if I’ll be coming back! Which is a bummer because the place looked nice!
