Great drive thru food, and service.

One of the managers of this restaurant had my friend’s car towed despite the fact that we were dinning at the restaurant that shares their parking lot. We were enjoying a nice meal at the restaurant that shares its walls and parking lot with Evolution. However, when we were leaving we noticed my friend’s car was gone. After some investigating, we were informed that the manager of Evolution called a towing company to have my friend’s car towed. This manager had ‘just left’ the restaurant and left her staff to deal with the situation on their own. We were able to get in contact with the manager, but she could not have been less helpful and rude. She was not apologetic whatsoever and even lied about going into the shared restaurant to ask their patrons if the car in question belonged to any of them. That never happened. Long story short, she called a tow truck and cost my friend $500 to have his car returned. No rules were broken, she simply acted in haste, cost legitimate customers a large chunk of money, and was extremely rude about it. Ownership of this restaurant should be ashamed at their managers actions and should jump at the opportunity to repay the customers the manager screwed over.

Evolution is a fantastic dining spot! The food was delicious, the ambiance was chic, and the service was top-notch. A must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

Fun atmosphere. Great food. Casual dining experience for everyone. Average prices. My husband and I have been coming to Evolution since it opened years ago. We were very excited to have a vegan fast food place, with a drive through again in San Diego. I haven’t seen a vegan fast food drive through since the Faque Burger days back in the 1990’s. This place is like Faque Burger but much better. Clean ingredients, and yummy fresh everything. Try their Evo Fries and Strawberry Shake, or the Cacao Date shake is so good as well. If you come during the holidays, please try the pumpkin shake. Yum!!! You do get a lot of food so when we order, my husband and I can easily share chicken bacon Swiss sandwich and Evo fries. We do each get our own shake though. I did want to mention they have raw vegan menu items as well. The raw taco is amazing!!! They also have raw pie slices and different ready to eat raw food items in the fridge near the ordering counter. Evolution is right across from Balboa Park. If you have time, come get a bite to eat at Evolution, then walk over and check out the park. A fun and easy way to explore and eat good food. The restaurant looks small, but don’t let that fool you. There’s a shady patio around back . There’s plenty of seating with chairs, tables, and booths. I like how the owner chose to reuse old restaurant booths and tables to create a casual comfortable dining area. I highly recommend Evolution Fast Food. One piece of advice would be to plan ahead during lunch, because they do tend to get pretty busy. There’s sometimes a wait at the drive through. Vegetarian options: 100% vegan menu/some raw vegan options/gluten free items clearly stated. Dietary restrictions: Vegan, raw vegan, gluten free. Parking: Parking available in a small free parking lot. Handicapped spaces in front. Parking does get tight during lunchtime. Free street parking nearby as well. Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped accessible.

Yummy vegan fast food ! The whole menu lace is vegan . My faves are the EVO burger and EVO fries! Takes a while at times to get your order but it’s worth it !

At first look, it doesn’t look very nice. BUT MAN, the burgers were top notch. The pesto burger brought my brother to tears. Amazing food and drinks.

I’m sitting in my car, disappointed and depressed. The evo burger was bland, messy and overpriced. I paid a lot of money for this food and I’m extremely disappointed. The shake was good, so there is a positive to this miserable experience. However, I will not be going back. Make Vegan Food Great Again.
