Awesome oysters (and in happy hours promo !) lobster roll super fresh, good service and good price. A must !
Great value for the lobster roll
If I were to compare directly to other Boston seafood places, Eventide charges twice the price of Legal Seafoods, Provisions or Sail Loft, for proportions a little over half the size, on a menu a third as varied. Some dishes are good, most are not, and all of them have problems. Oysters were priced at 300% market value, the warm lobster roll was the size of two of my fingers, which I had to order because they were out of cold lobster rolls (how?? literally just toss the warm lobster in cold mayo), an order of chicken wings came with 6 wings about the size of my thumb each, and the Calamari was undercooked and the breading still milky wet, we had to chew it for a long time before it would come apart. The oysters tasted great and the mini lobster roll was was also delicious, but the overall experience here was overwhelmingly disappointing. I had wanted to celebrate a work promotion, but Eventide made me feel like an idiot for falling for their deceptively high-end appearance.
Thumb size lobster roll was ok, oyster roll apt description as it had one oyster calamari was the only dish that was tasty and an appropriate price for what you received
Easily the best seafood in the Fenway area. I highly recommend the Fish Charcuterie board. Oysters just incredible. Will return.
Spent almost $100 per person here and left disappointed. The clam chowder was ok, but the lobster roll was a bit of a letdown. And the seafood bake was just not incredible. It was a Wednesday and there really weren't many patrons -- maybe everyone else knew better? Further, sitting at the bar, the bartender appeared distracted by doing inventory and could not be bothered with us, which is the last thing I expect from sitting at the bar.
Lobster roll is to die for! Worth it even though it's a lil pricey for the amount you get..
