Parking: Paid street parking is available along Dempster St (which Pour is on), as well as around the corner on Chicago Ave. Wheelchair accessibility: Access is street level - no ramps needed. However, the doors are manually operated, so handicapped people may need to have someone open the doors for them.
The atmosphere and service is great. But my order was 12 dollars for something that tasted like regular lemonade. Maybe order something that is a safer choice.
Pour is my go-to coffee shop in Evanston. The decor is so elegant, the drinks delicious, and the environment feels like a neighborhood meeting place. As a student, I sometimes am bummed that they don't allow laptops at most of the tables to let people meet up, but it's one thing I also really love about Pour. They want to be a community place, so they protect that part of the experience.
Cute spot, a great place for a little break.
coffee and snacks are good. the sushi ordering is a great idea. the laptop rule is strange considering it’s to promote “human connection” while allowing people on ipads and reading books -alone- to use those same tables. that’s no different than someone on a laptop. be consistent.
I hosted a gathering at Pour back in November and everything was truly outstanding. My guests were captivated by the gorgeous space and terrific ambiance - each person mentioned that they could not wait to come visit again. There is something for everyone: the coffee was rich and satisfying, they have a lovely selection of teas, the wine list is impressive and their espresso martini is the best in the city! The owners were incredibly welcoming and gracious which added a personal touch to our experience. Highly recommend if you'd like to meet a small group of friends or clients in a beautiful + cozy space.
