Small improvement, male toilets have recently been refreshed and oh it no longer smells like a pub toilets at the end of service. Still lacking many seats as soon as more than one train awaits departure
This is one of the rare benefits your Amex platinum card offers you access into the Eurostar lounge without booking the business premier ticket. I was traveling in Standard Premier to Paris so this benefit comes in handy when the main waiting area is packed without any free seats. There's a snack section with crisps and fresh fruits on offer as well as fresh pastries. Coffee stations as well as soft drink cans in the fridge. Magazines and newspapers on offer. The lounge was fairly busy when I visited on Sunday morning and I only popped in to grab a quick coffee and took a piece of fruit with me. You are not able to bring any guests via your Amex personal platinum card unless it's the supplement cardholder from your main account. Also exclusive to any card which registered outside the UK, France and Belgium.
Often crowded but split over two levels, generally upstairs is quieter. Tea, coffee, soft and alcoholic refreshments available. Food is lacking for anything other than a small nibble. Although better than the main departure hall, it is nothing like a quiet airport lounge. Designed for short stays. Toilets upstairs and downstairs, a selection of newspapers also available as well as takeaway coffee cups. Staff are friendly on arrival, inside the lounge not so, although not unpleasant.
No taps working in your toilets, frankly disturbing and is this even legal? Greed greed greed
