Epazote Kitchen & Cocktails

The food was delicious for most of what I and my group ordered. Also beautifully presented. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. There is an outside dining area with heaters, as well as a small bar area in addition to the main dining room. The cocktails and mocktails were divine! Great selection of menu items with vegetarian/vegan options as well. The beans I had were slightly over salted, and the spinach salad could have used more goat cheese, strawberries, and the specialized candied pecans than what they provided. It was a great salad just not enough of those ingredients. The desserts were also quite amazing. On the whole this is a great restaurant to try! Vegetarian options: Tacos, enchiladas, robust salads

Gabby was so cordial and helpful

For a hotel bar and restaurant, the prices were reasonable, and portion size was generous. They had a nice live band, for a Wednesday evening it was pretty good.

Nothing wrong with it but nothing memorable either… seemed like a typical hotel lobby restaurant. Chicken tacos were good but shishito pepper plate was WAY too big, and the bed of lettuce they were served on didn’t make a lot of sense to me, but service was friendly. Atmosphere generally just kinda dead…. Unfinished gray concrete columns in what was supposed to be a Spanish restaurant… hmmm

Made a reservation for 8pm for new years eve and brought my wife and 2 kids to eat together. My 9 year old son got his chicken tenders with French fries and shared with his little 8 month old sister. While we just waited for almost 2 hours for our food to arrive. We let them know that we are leaving and want the food to go, then like 15 minutes later the food gets made for us to take. Yeah we're not going back that's for sure. And I'm also letting others know not to waist their time going here. P.s There was a couple next to us that arrived at the same time and had the same issue as we did. They left right before us. Update: I just saw what I got for my takeout and this food NY strip isn't worth the price. GO SOMEWHERE BETTER!!!!

Chicken Mac was dry and bland. Drinks were ok. Wish I ha gotten the salmon. Also chicken Mac would normally mean chicken in the Mac. Not two chicken wings on the side with breakfast gravy. Pretty odd

Great ambience, staff, and food.

Epazote Review Excellent restaurant with pleasant ambience. Exceeded our expections. We are staying in the Hilton 4 star hotel in Oro Valley Arizona for our 50th wedding anniversary. We decided to try the hotel's Epazote Kitchen and cocktails despite seeing some sketchy recent reviews. Our experience was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Our server, Jasmine, was kind, patient, and attentive. The bartender, Sam, did an great job on our cocktails. Then, Jasmine and Sam worked together to get us tastings of three wines to help us decide on a bottle of wine. When I asked Sam about after dinner drink she offered a tasting of a her own special drambuie creation. It was spicy, delicious, and had a very nice bouquet. They provided Jalapeno corn muffins with herb infused butter to start. We then ordered two starter courses share: First the Elote en vaso and then the Epazote salad. These were served as courses with no rush as we requested. Both dishes were taste winners. My entree was the prescott raised strip steak, with goat cheese fondue sauce. This was thick cut and deliciously enhanced by the sauce, which offset my only criticism, that it was rare, but not blue-rare as requested. My spouse enjoyed the generously large Ahi tuna poke bowl, she described as spicy, but not too hot with many good textures from the greens and rice. As we were finishing, I mentioned this was a great experience for our 50th wedding anniversary. Well, they immediately insisted on providing a complmentary dessert, which they decorated with an happy anniversary message.

The food was absolutely amazing and our server was wonderful both nights. The view of the surrounding grounds is wonderful. We especially loved the brisket, alfredo, tacos, and clams.
