I ordered 2 grilled apple chicken sandwiches to go . The Bacon was hard and very dark in color. The apple slices tasted like they picked up all the aromas of the cooler or refrigerator they were stored in. The sandwiches were very dry and the chicken as well. I did also get their french onion soup which was great. But $41.00 for 2 sandwiches and a soup . Which 1/2 the Sandwich wasn't edible. Ill think twice about ordering their $16.00 chicken Sandwich.

chicken Parm was excellent, prices were reasonable. only small gripe was in an Italian restaurant, I believe the meal should come with a small side salad and bread. I asked for bread and was told they don't serve it for lunch, but the waitress said she could put in an order for it which she did and then brought us the bread which was piping hot and delicious. I don't think you should have to ask for bread though, just my opinion. Pretty popular and busy lunch crowd.

I usually don't complain, I've been here five times and never had an issue, Until today. Dorothy the waitress was very dismissive, she took our menus after we ordered appetizers and told us that she thought that's all we were eating. She brought our bread after our entrées came and we were packing up what we couldn't finish. She Named three selections for the wings( hot, med, mild) but there's 7 different kind. We were Very confused by her actions. The manager Dakota was very nice, and apologetic.

So we decided to go on their Tuesday 3 for 30 special. Cons: The waitress didn't fill up our drinks the entire time we were there and the glasses were right on the edge. I had to finally ask her and eventually she brought them. We also were using a gift card to pay. The waitress told us we couldn't tip using the gift card and there was no alternative way to add a tip which makes no sense since plenty of restaurants can. And she kept taking my phone with her to go discuss the issue which I wasn't comfortable with. Eventually she said she could remove a drink and then make me pay for that in order to leave a tip. I strongly advise to not buy a gift card here! Pros: the chicken Parm was absolutely huge, delicious and a great deal!!! Also the Mac and cheese bites are amazing. Overall the 3 for 30 deal is a Great special. The toffee pudding cake is delicious as well! Food was good! The food also came out very fast.

The Grilled Chicken Apple Burger is underrated. I'm always on the hunt for new and interesting menu items to try, sadly many restaurants fall back on safe and sound menus that are sure to sell but not very diverse. Emma Jayne's however offers a bit of a break from the norm. Placed my order over the phone, going with the Apple Chicken Sandwich and the Chipotle Chicken Tacos. All together the total came to a little over $31 before tip, a little steep for just two items but that's just the world we live in these days. Plus, there was some fine quality to be had. Starting with the Tacos, which I had requested be without tomato, but for some reason they left them in. Which almost had me dock a star for failing a request, but upon trying them as they were I decided to forgive the error as they tasted quite good. A trio of soft shell tacos with chicken and cheese and just a little greenery, I was half expecting hard shell but the soft shell actually made for holding everything together much easier. Now about that sandwich, and what can I say except it was beyond my expectations. Sweet and savory blend together perfectly, the tartness of the apple cuts the apple butter which mixes with the bacon's crispness. The chicken acts like a base for it all, held together by the nicely toasted bun. I was a little weirded out by the side of "Mac" that did not taste anything like any Mac I have had before, more closely resembling macaroni salad, but I have never heard anyone describe macaroni salad as "Mac" before; Only Mac and Cheese. Luckily the flavor was fine and I polished it off with the fresh pickle slice. The service was pretty quick, my meal ready only a few minutes after the 4PM pickup time, but I actually prefer that as it remains warmer than any dishes finished before my arrival. Since I do have a 45 minute trip home, it's hard to find many places where I can get there and back with a meal still hot and ready. So aside from the minor mess up with the tomato on the tacos, overall, Emma Jayne's gets a full score.
