El Torito

We used to eat at El Torito pre-pandemic. Well, things have most definitely changed, at least at the La Mesa location. Bonsai sized avocados. Potatoes as fillers in fajitas (not kidding!). Meat is not marinated and incredibly tough and low quality. Small portions of bad tasting food for much higher prices. Unfortunately, they are now off our list.

I love El torito's chicken sour cream enchiladas. They are not too spicy but they are very tasty. The servers are very friendly. I noticed over the several years that a lot of the employees stay for a long time there. It is a very friendly environment and without them El torito would not be the same. My dad used to go there all the time and it was his favorite place. Going there is like going to visit him and celebrating him.

Ordered takeout. Told 20 minutes, it's been 45 and still waiting...
