Great food for great price and very friendly staff! We were visiting from out of town and were very pleased with our choice in dinner tonight! They kept all drinks filled and kept us stocked on chips and salsa while waiting on our food (all without us having to ask which was great)! Highly recommend this place!

the food was amazing as well as the service, everyone was so kind!! they were crazy packed and still managed to keep our drinks and chips full. it was honestly the best service i've had from anywhere in so long

Usually it's great but not on a Sunday night.Srevice off and food below par.The poblano peppers were not cooked. Chips were hard and quesadia empty.

***if you're reading this trying to decide where to eat, just go and read the rest on the way...*** Seriously... Just go. Talk about great Mexican food with a fresh minty mojito served with a smile, and you're talking about El Toreo on Silver Springs Blvd! For years, my wife and I have loved going in on Fridays and decompressing in a cheerful atmosphere with friendly staff that are genuinely glad to see us. The vibrant colors and smiling patrons, the owner himself coming to the table just to say "hi", asking how you've been, and making sure everything is just right. (And he's like that with EVERYBODY.) THE BEST MOJITO I'VE EVER HAD (and I don't even really drink), and a hot plate full of delicious food! All of this and it's VERY affordable! Unique to itself; This is one of Ocala's "hidden gems". UPDATE: Nothing has really changed, they're still awesome!

Scammy - They will serve you a scoop of beans and unseasoned avocado on a tostada shell and swear it’s a “chalupa” probably being they think their customers are uneducated white people who won’t know the difference (and despite that being definitively wrong by both Mexican and American definition). Also does not allow lunch to be bought on weekends, which I didn’t think twice about until the scammy food came out.
