I got the chicken with the sweet and spicy sauce. It was delicious.
I work nearby so I've tried them more than once since they opened and it's honestly worse each time. First time was great service, so so food, 2nd was similar. This was try #3. The service last night was mediocre at best. We weren't acknowledged for awhile after sitting at the bar. No drink menu, so we were left for awhile to decide what we wanted, meanwhile asked for water and watched 2 others get water before me. I should've read the reviews about the nachos. $21 for 10 chips with minimal toppings? All in all $40 for 2 beers and the nacho plate that should be half that price for what it was. Yea, no thanks.
Expensive prices for average quality. To distract you from how expensive the place is, they offer several dishes that have three different price points. However, the cheapest price for the dish (which would be an average price anywhere else) is tiny and barely appetizer size. Like the other reviews have said, expensive and just not worth it for the quality. Service was also slow, but friendly.
I called at 6:51 P.M. to place a to go order, I ordered a chicken soup for my wife who is feeling a little under the weather and I ordered enchilada plate for myself, I was told it would take 15-20 minutes, the restaurant was not that busy, the bartender first told me they were working on my order and I kept patiently waiting and then later told me what did I order, i told her what I ordered and she told me the manager lost my order, I finally got my food at 7:31 P.M. , I don't live very far from the restaurant and the soup was luke warm and my enchiladas were cold, I have gone to other El Tiempo locations and have gotten exceptional service, this is the first and last time I will go to this location, if I was able to I would have given my review no stars.
Our office will NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN, We ordered an office lunch for 15 People, I asked what was all included he said EVERYTHING. When asked the price , he stated they had just opened and that he would let me know when he could. The food was delivered and the driver brought me the receipt for over $750.00 !!! I was in shock, the amount of food and quality was not worth that amount at all, I called the restraunt and requested an Itemized reciept, Ofcourse they could not give us one and he said they charged extra for things like chips/salsa/queso which I he said were all included.....there was also a $79.00 service charge as well, which I am assuming is for delivery, we are less than 3 minutes from them and that was just completely uncalled for, which again we were NOT told about that either or we could have just gotten it ourselves. Communication is key when you are in customer service and they completely failed. Our office likes to order locally all the time to support local business and the food industry but we will not support them ever again.
