I dont know if this place got new owners or management but the food us now horrible. This was our neighborhood Mexican restaurant and we will not be returning!
Food is fire. Go get some!
The wife and I were in Denver to pickup a few things and asked an acquaintance to recommend a good place for dinner nearby. He sent us here. The place is nothing to look at, in a strip on Broadway... Decor? What is that? bright lights and rickety wooden tables... hand written signs. It was a Wed night and we got there just after 5PM - not too many diners yet... but it got busy fast... before we left there was a line to be seated. Yeah, the service wasn't the fastest in the world... but I'll be going back every time I can get by the place. The food is worth it. I had pork carnitas - $9 smothered with green chili and roasted jalapenos/onions... rice and beans... more than enough to fill me up. I wiped the plate clean. The wife had the chimichanga - ~$8 almost as big as the plate. We shared chips and salsa and a smothered pork tamale. With a soda and a beer 29 bucks. The food was so good I'd go there if I had to sit on the floor.
Food and prices were amazing. Big portion plates but not heavy. Most other hispanic plaes give you lots of beans and rice as plate fillers, but not here. Very satified customer and will be returning for sure.
4.0* Overall, (NEAR BROADWAY/HAMPDEN AVE) Good flavor, Green Chile (Hot) but tastes more mild/medium, Good Chips & Salsa. Breakfast burrito was decent overall 3 out of 5; Steak wasn't that flavorful along with the eggs/potatoes, it comes out tasting hot but cools down pretty fast, the Green chile seems flavorful at first but tends to lose it's flavor. Bacon individual side tastes great. Plenty of indoor seating tables, Didn't notice any parking lot l only street parking, and friendly staff.
Loved this authentic Mexican restaurant on Broadway
Yummy, going there soon. Best Mexican food .
With the reopening in the new location the food is as good as ever.but still some growing pains to get through.all in all still a great place to eat. Parking is the biggest down fall.
