We were so excited to enjoy authentic Mexican food in Helena. The waiter was pleasant and the food was beyond excellent! We loved the cozy atmosphere. We will be back and back again. Great job to the new owners. Wishing you great success!

Friendly service!! Large portions, even from the lunch menu (which is available at dinner). I ordered 2 chicken tacos, and they were HUGE!! They were good but would've been so much better if they were hot (as well as the rice and beans). We had a party of 8 and everyone said the food was good but could've been hotter. No ground beef options, FYI, otherwise many options to decide from. Just a beer/wine license, so no tequila for the margs. This was my first time there, so I'd definitely go back again to try something different, like shrimp fajitas, and see how the second time around goes!

We stumbled upon this little gem. Both the salsa's before the meal were delicious. The server was super nice and attentive. I told him (and I meant it) that was the best shredded beef chimichanga I have ever had. They didn't drown it in sauce. It was the perfect amount. The meat has a fantastic smoky flavor and is tender and juicy. The cilantro rice is delicious. My son inhaled his tacos with a smile of satisfaction on his face. Great experience. We will definitely come back when we're in Helena. Highly recommend!

We've been missing a great Mexican restaurant in town for a long time. El Salero has filled that void!
