Speaking for myself this is not the place for me I didn't enjoy anything about this place but others seemed to be happy I just don't see myself returning.

Food was okay and brought to the table quickly, but something seemed off like we weren't wanted there. The server was abrupt and spoke to us like we were a bother - no greeting, no thank you, just a "what do you want, here it is, now eat and leave" sort of feel. I wouldn't need to go back.

El Rod’s will always be a stop when we come in town. Came back after 3 years of being away and somehow the food and service was even better. Love this place!

The location is great for travelers. Service is good, as is the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food is very much Americanized and you could tell they were made hastily. The rice that should be simple to make was not on par with most other authentic Mexican restaurants. The drinks were good.
