I went inside to order takeout. The app on my phone wouldn't allow me to use my rewards to pay. When I asked the manager why he said with an attitude and demeaning tone, "I don't know. You have to ask 'them'." I asked who is "them" and he said the "app people". I paid $32 for my order and while waiting I was looking on my app to find out how to contact "them". After a few minutes I saw a bag on the counter and asked if it was my order. The manager said it was and that he had called my name. I told him I didn't hear my name called. I asked for his name for when I'm able to contact "them" (the app people) and he said "George". As I was walking out the manager said, "Well, you don't listen." This was obviously directed at me so I went back to let him know I heard his rude remark. He was walking into another room or walk-in freezer and didn't so much as look my way or acknowledge me. I've never been treated so horribly as a paying customer and by the manager of all people. I contacted corporate and filed a complaint. Beware if you go to the El Pollo Loco in San Bernardino on Highland and Sterling.
