El Pollo Colorao Puerto Rican Eatery

Food was ok my order was not correct when I got home but made best of it. First time there. Wish they had sauces for the chicken.

Been wanting to try mofongo and found out it was served here. Now, I can't say it was the best ever or say how authentic it is, as I'm just a Florida redneck, but it was damn good! I had it with the pulled pork and an epanada. All of it was delicious and almost more than I could eat. The staff were very friendly and even though the mofongo is made to order the wait was nominal. Great little place! Will be back.

Good latin food

We have been going to this restaurant over five years. In the past, I always would give it five stars. We have seen the quality change here of late. The pork was tender and tasted good; but, it was ruined because it was over salted; it was also dry, could have used a little meat juice. Sadly, you can add salt; but, you can't take it away when food is over salted. The Yucca was over-salted, as well and it was very dry. In the past, the yucca had onions added and maybe other things and it was in juice. The black beans had none of the specialty things Puerto rican cooking usually adds to beans; it appear it was just canned beans reheated. I hope this restaurant brings it quality standards back; this was our favorite restaurant.

Fresh, cooked to order food. Sizable menu to choose from. Plantains and "potato balls" are excellent as side dishes/appetizers. Friendly staff. Decent number of tables to sit and dine with a fun decorated dining area. Great place for quick, authentic Puerto Rican, flavorful food!
