El Patio Rio

Walking up we noticed a lot of cooking supplies were being stored in an open-air shed visible from the parking lot through the cracks. Things like large cooking pots and strainers could be seen through the cracks in the fence and they were utilizing this outside space for kitchen utensils. Next we went in and seeing was offered in the bar and while all the tables were small that still seemed like a quaint enough place. They served recycled menus in between plastic trapper keeper folder inserts which were well worn and unsanitized. The prices didn't sync up with the aforementioned chile rellenos were 1850 and enchiladas were 1750 once you add any choices of meat. The wait staff seem like two younger gay dudes we're busier drinking from beer pitchers with straws and checking their grindrs so me and my boyfriend walked out before we even got a glass of water. It's a bummer cuz we just moved to Los ranchos and wanted to check out those place.

Great place to eat Mexican food. Great flavor and not super hot unless you ask for it. Haven't had anything I don't like. Start with the combo plate if you are unsure what to get.

The green chile chicken enchiladas were delicious.

Very small space. Not a real area for a hostess. I needed to get the bar tenders attention to let her know I had a call in order. Some people left cause there was no one to ask "how many people" or let them know what the wait was... food was good but nothing spectacular.

This is a gem of a place. Food is extremely made to perfection highly recommended.

This is one of those hidden gems. Best margaritas! Best chips & quest, guac, salsa, and *best green chile enchiladas.* Thank you Stephanie for being the best waitress. All around perfect meal.

Food had consistently improved at the Rio Grande location. We had usually called in for take out as my parents are too old to enjoy restaurants. Tonight I craved some green Chile chicken enchiladas and called.their number. A young lady answered and then told me to wait. She left the phone off the hook for 12 minutes so I could hear the bar or wait staff chatting. So I took my business elsewhere.

First time at this location. Had the same thing I always have at the original spot. Completely different (worse) dish. Bummed!
