El Nopal Taqueria

How did I not know about this place!!!! I love Mexican food and thought I had tried most off the places in Lafayette but I missed this one and it is awesome!!!! The staff was super sweet. Nice music, and the food oh my goodness!!!! So hot and fresh, I burned my fingers on the fried empanadas, if you have never had a fried empanada then your life is incomplete and it is worth the drive or even the walk from campus!!!! (The bus stops a block away too) Do yourself a favor and stop here the next time you are hungry!!!!

This might be my new favorite Mexican place in town. The tortilla chips here are amazing - they are hot, crisp, and lightly salted. And the salsa has more flavor than what you usually find in this kind of fare. And their red sauce is mind blowing. They put pictures of everything on their menu, so it's very easy to know what you're getting even if you're weak in Spanish.
