Worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. The manager took my ID and claimed it was a fake. Then proceeded to hold me hostage for 30 minutes until Durango PD showed up and confirmed it was a real ID and made her give it back to me. Only Bad experience I have had in Durango
Best drinks in town, and good food. It was super busy but the servers here were super helpful and friendly. Burgers were fantastic. Will be back.
I’ve been coming to El Moro since it first opened. I have to say my most recent experience left a really poor taste in my mouth. We came in as a group of seven. The restaurant was quite literally half empty. They told us it would be a 30 minute wait or they could seat us separately. Looking around the half empty restaurant, I was perplexed, but I suspected it may be due to reservations. So I pointed to two nearby tables and asked if we could just push them together. Their response was, “We don’t do that.” They explained they have a policy wherein they refuse to move tables together. So instead, they moved us to the corner of the restaurant with a 5-top and a 2-top… surrounded by empty four tops. When I mentioned that this process seems to be an obviously bad business practice, the waiter (some hipster in a dated newsboy cap) sneered at me and walked away. It was a very disappointing experience. As a patron for many years, I won’t feel comfortable bringing my family to this establishment again.
Kinda of Fancy. Food was great, service was great, prices were perfect! We had breakfast!
The mussels were amazing. Loved my steak and the KFC
Last night’s birthday dinner was excellent! Everything about our dinner was terrific. From the greeting by the hostess, to the wonderful service (our server was efficient, friendly, and had a great sense of humor), to the food! We started with the Korean Fried Cauliflower and Honey-Sambal Lolipops and both were excellent. Each of us ordered a different entree (New York Strip, Honey Garlic Salmon, Chicken Au Poivre, Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage, and Bulgogi). Kudos to the kitchen staff because all were so tasty and cooked to perfection. For dessert we ordered the PB&J ice cream sandwich and a couple orders of the Black Forest. We all shared them and they were so delicious. Thanks for the great evening!
Wow! What can we say? Stumbled upon this place at 8:30 PM and had a truly wonderful experience. The specialty cocktail list is a collection of unique drinks invented by all the different bartenders. We had the Prickly Pear salad and the Buratta. Both so clean and flavorful. Our drinks were amazing. But the staff, that’s the real gold in this place. Everyone was so kind, fun and conversational. Will be back when we come to town!
Great food, awesome atmosphere, fantastic drinks
