Food is always good, service is usually pretty good too. It's nothing crazy, but it is perfect for a quiet lunch. You won't feel rushed or bothered, and your food will come pretty fast so there isn't much more you can ask for Edit: I changed this from 4 stars to 5 because I have never been so attached to a restaurant of any kind, let alone a Mexican restaurant. Mexican food isn't at the top of my favorites but it is a comfort cuisine and there's nothing more comforting than the homie feeling of El molcajete tbh. I truly love this restaurant and I can easily see why it has remained as so many businesses go in the area. Long live El Molcajete! This is the most solid Mexican restaurant you can go to. Get El Burro de La Roqueta, best pork I've literally ever eaten and I say this as a southerner who loves bbq.

The employees are so sweet. Very family oriented. The food is great and reasonably priced.
