Honesy. Best Mexican food in Albuquerque. Everything seems freshly made. Prices are great. And the service was phenomenal. 10/10 def wpuld recommend

Great food but smaller enchiladas. Will still eat there. Also getta little pricey

We're regulars, the food is always great. However first there has been a change in the size of plates. Now today the prices were higher, allot higher. Next will be quality.

El Modelo POOR SERVICE TAMALES ARE DRY, Not Tasty When I arrived at El Modelo, I called in to order food like I do every week. The girl who answered the phone about an hour ago was very rude. She said how can I help you? I said hi, I'd like to place an order, she said are you in the parking lot? I said yes, she said I can't take your order if your not in the parking lot (for the 2nd time) I said: I'm in the Parking Lot, she said are you sure your in the parking lot?! If not I'm NOT taking your order. (For the 3rd time I said: yes I'm in the Parking Lot, she said are you sure?! I was shocked/upset at this point! I said if you want to come outside and look for my Car.. your more then welcome to. She said what are you driving? I told her what I was driving. She then took my order. I asked her why she was being so Rude, she said we'll take out your order when it's ready and hung up on me. My Family & I order from here 2-3 times a week and spend over $50.00. After today's experience, I won't be Coming back ! Very Disappointing. The tone of her Voice was disturbing. Employee's need to leave their Personal Problems @ home.. DON'T bring them to Work. And/or if that's their Personality, they need serious TRAINING IN CUST SERV.. Or work in the back, DO NOT DEAL w/Customers! This Experience impacts everyone. I LOVE Friendly Environments! This girl working at El Modelo really impacted the Restaurant El Modelo with my Ratings & Business today. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE DOUBLE ZERO! 00 Parking: There's a gated free parking lot, or you can park on the street in front of building.

I have heard a lot of great things about this place. I finally had the opportunity to order food from there. The food was great, a plentiful serving for a 3 tamale plate, can most likely feed two or three people. The only downside was calling in the order almost 40mins in advance and still having to wait another 15mins to 20mins for the food. It wasn't overly busy to consider that a factor. March 2024 I recently was able to make a phone order. They were pretty much on time. Maybe a 5 minute additional wait. Now that you can make phone orders again, I can work with that. Lets hope it doesnt extend out to 40 mins in top of quoted pick up time. In the end so worth it.
