My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner on New Year Eve at about 4:30. We were the only customers dining in but were promptly greeted and seated. I had the seafood combo, which was tilapia and shrimp with rice and vegetables. My wife had the birria tacos and a margarita. We both enjoyed our meal, which was just under $50.

The best Mexican food in all of Chattanooga. Delicious food with fantastic service. Highly recommend! We have lived here almost 4 years and are consistently greeted by the staff we have come to know well and appreciate on many levels. So grateful to have El Metate right here on Signal Mountain!

So so salsa with the chips but the birria tacos score a 5/5.
