Really good food especially if you’ve never had Cuban food. It was super busy, the servers were doing their best job to keep up. The avocado salad was big enough to share and the tapas were delicious. Didn’t have the key lime pie, but several people did. Looks amazing.

During our visit to Key West we entered El Meson De Pepe. a beautiful place with a lot of history. The person who served us was Jose G., a gastronomic connoisseur, super friendly. Giving recommendations for drinks and food. excellent place to have a good time in Key West.

Ordered empeñadas - chicken and beef. Tough shell filled halfway with chicken, another halfway with beef. Absolutely no taste.whatsoever. Lots of service workers standing around the entrance, one girl sitting on the cement ledge for the whole time we were there. No management. Won’t bother spending money there again.

3 March 2024. Went to watch the sunset at Mallory Square, ordered two “to go” Margaritas, $13 each, plus tip, so $30 total. They were the most watered down and weakest Margaritas ever. After the sunset we came back to get something to eat. We ordered empanadas. They came out looking great; large & puffy. However once we took a bite, the shell was less than half full of meat. A big disappointment, especially after all the good reviews. We will be spending our money elsewhere.

I’ve came two other times here but I guess it was not as popular. But the managers as well as personal are rude and not people friendly. From the host to the manager ect. I am very disappointed in this place. Brought tourist from Spain because how much o liked this place but this time was a very bad experience.

Food is overrated. There's very less focus on food and more on theatrics to lure crowd. The drinks were average and overall experience was below average.
