Swat Networking, hosted an amazing luncheon at this location & I was very impressed with the atmosphere! I order the Smash Burger with Fries, and it was very good!! It was seasoned so yummy!! I’m very excited to bring friends & family over for another great time!!

A friend referred me to this restaurant. And I’m so glad he did. I happened to visit on taco Tuesday… All you can eat tacos… Yes please! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was fabulous. The decor is beautiful and festive with indoor and patio dining available. Oh and their margaritas are the best! Overall a great dining experience! I highly recommend when visiting downtown Sarasota!

My coworkers and I were in town for a business trip and came to El Melvin for a team dinner. We were sat right away and our server, Kyle, took excellent care of us. Kyle was very kind, attentive, and he made us feel so welcomed. The food and drinks were amazing! My coworkers had cocktails that they said were delicious. I had a mindful cocktail and it was tasty as well. The chips, salsa, and guac were so fresh and the steak fajitas were great. The atmosphere was chill and I loved all the art work around the restaurant. Thank you Kyle for taking care of us tonight, you made our experience even more enjoyable. Whenever I’m back in Sarasota, I’ll make a stop!

We were walking by and heard "Con te partirò being sung and it was breathtakingly good. We ordered drinks and ordered Baja fish tacos, amazing btw. But that voice! We learned the singer was classically trained in Cuba, performed in Mexico and was now a server and sometimes performed. It was beautiful. Highly recommend the experience.

Our group enjoyed our visit. A few of our group are not fans of Mexican food but they enjoyed their meals also. The atmosphere was pretty neat except that it was pretty dark, for us over 60, to read the menue. Our waiter was fantastic, and helped us pick out meals for our friends that aren't fond of Mexican food! Every thing came out correctly and VERY QUICKLY! Thanks for a great experience.

Stopped for drinks at the bar at El Melvin that turned into dinner. This place is really a cut above standard Mexican fare. The margarita was very good as well as the sangria. Loved the salso! The bowl of rice, beans, salad that was fresh and also very good. The taco variety (fish, chicken, pork) was excellent. Will definitely return!
