This establishment is by far one of my favorite Mexican restaurants to eat at! High recommended!!
Gross comes to mind!
Nice place, and the food was good.
I was living in Albany in 1983 when El Loco first opened, and it was a favorite eatery until 1995 when I left the city. On a recent Albany visit, I was delighted to find El Loco is today every bit as delicious as I recall -- if not better. She got the Fantasticos nachos; I went with the Burrito Grande – both huge and amazingly delish with shredded beef, not hamburger meat. The blue corn bread muffin was a super tasty bonus. 5 stars all around for the food, ambiance and staff – a great trip down burrito memory lane!
Great place on a Saturday afternoon for brunch! Chuck the waiter is a tattooed gem! Friendly and helpful with menu choices. We were interested in less expensive items to share since we weren't famished, just in the mood for an extra large snack to divide between us. Chuck recommended the nachos supreme for a lunch just over $30 with tip. Delicious with mounds of salsa, avocado, and cheese! Fantastic A/C on hot day!
Go down the road for the same quality at a better price! I agree with the other comments that are confused about how this place EVER got the good views it did. This is not at all what you would expect from “traditional Mexican” dishes unless your trying to insult the name. The service was horrible- the waitress was condescending when I asked about items on the menu. My roommate had said how a few years ago she LOVED this place but after hearing about my experiences in detail will 110% NEVER go there again. The food is NOT worth it, it’s not worth paying any restaurant to be completely disrespected and disregarded, but ESPECIALLY when the food is not good enough on top of it -lol- please just give your money to a place in albany that deserves it instead and save yourself. I rarely ever leave comments on google for food- that should say it all.
Great dishes and friendly staff. The salsa station is a nice touch. Big tequila selection and cozy outdoor seating. Inside seating can be tight quarters, especially in the winter but it makes for a more intimate meal. The cinnamon in the coffee is a good change of pace and the banana-changa is not to be missed.
Decent mezcal selection
