El Jimador Mexican Restaurante

I really wanted to like this place, but... we did not have a good experience. I came with a large group of family after a funeral so a lot of what happened went unnoticed and not many complaints at the time. We had to move the tables into place ourselves. The wait staff kept putting more chips in front of my children without asking, and they ate most of them before I noticed so they didn't eat their food once it came. The entrées came out before the appetizer. They had no idea who ordered what when they brought the food out. We did not get offered any refills. The taste of the food was lacking and inconsistent. The rice was over salted, and other items were bland or lacking enough cheese or sauce. I had to ask for silverware and napkins for everyone as we were sitting there, unable to eat the food in front of us. The chips for the nachos were all crumbled up like it was the end of a chip bag. The only thing positive I can is that they weren't rude and we didn't have to wait a long time for the food or check. Honestly, it just seemed like a bunch of people who really had no idea how to do their jobs properly... it did seem like they were putting in an effort and just failed miserably. They would've rated higher on the atmosphere, but we ended up buying doughnuts and candy from a guy and his child soliciting. People dont want to be approached by strangers selling stuff while their eating. I wouldn't ever eat here again for any reason. The bathrooms were clean.

Absolutely delicious! I usually skip the rice when I eat at Mexican restaurants but the rice here was nice and fluffy and not over salty. Very yummy and we will definitely be back! Vegetarian options: I got the vegetable fajitas and loved it!

Great food, fast service, and great atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. That was my first time going. I will definitely go again.

The food I ordered was the barria tacos they were good but just to oily for my preference. I have had better but overall the place was very clean the servers were respectful and nice. I informed the waiter I didn’t like how oily the barria tasted and he offered to make them over I kindly denied and just ate them

The food is delicious and the staff is attentive and friendly. The building can get a bit drafty in the colder months.

Seems like we can't get past the Fajitas Degollado. Extremely good. Both times here we ordered the same thing. Maybe next time we'll try something else on the menu...
