Great food, a lil greasy but hits the spot

The prices are a bit high but then again, it is a halal restaurant with a more traditional recipe menu. However a staple of Mexican cuisine, pork/lard is entirely absent. I will be back to try other offerings from this interesting establishment.

I've visited elhalal amigos multiple times, and each visit has been a delightful experience. One of the highlights is the ease of finding parking, which is always a plus in any dining outing. The service here is impeccable, with staff members who are not only attentive but also genuinely pleasant to interact with. One of the reasons I keep coming back is the affordability of the menu items. Despite offering halal options, the prices are reasonable and offer great value for money. Speaking of halal, elhalal amigos excels in providing authentic Mexican cuisine that adheres to halal standards. As someone who has tasted Mexican food in Cabo, I can attest that the flavors here are incredibly close to the real deal. Now, let's talk about the food itself. The taste is simply exceptional, with each bite bursting with flavor. I've tried several items, including taco plates, burritos, and quesadillas, and each dish has been consistently delicious. However, the real star of the show is the carne asada meat – it's hands down the best choice for any dish. And don't even get me started on the rice; the flavor is so exquisite that it's almost addictive. Overall, this place is a gem for those craving halal Mexican cuisine. With its convenient location, outstanding service, and mouthwatering dishes, it's a must-visit for any food enthusiast.

We come here to pick up food a lot, the food is always top notch and consistent in great quality, I recommend the narcho burrito with Birria barbacoa with no beans, that’s my to go order!

Nice people, nice food

We LOVED the Fremont food truck…so while we were in SJ and hungry we were drooling at the thought of having our Mexican again. But wow. You have gone downhill. They didn’t give us some parts of our order…we didn’t realize until later…and the food was beyond mediocre….the queso especially was SO disgusting. I’m a queso addicted foodi…but the overall mediocre yumminess of the food, compared to what we had in the past at the OG food truck. Ugh so gross and disappointed….

Food was excellent. I got the narcho burrito, the flavors were expertly balanced. The portion size for the price was also great
