Was so excited to go to gallo Pinto restaurant. Was very disappointed in the food when I tasted it. I gallo Pinto with chicken. The chicken tasted rubbery and the Gallo pinto tasted old and dry. The cacao tasted like cold chocolate rather then the regular cacao. My husband is from Nicaragua and I have tasted better food than this. Very disappointed 😞😭

I ordered ropa vieja (shredded beef with onions and tomatoes) that came with gallo pinto ( rice mixed with beans) and sweet plantains. It was very tasty and full of flavor. The shredded beef was a bit on the sweeter side. My sister ordered carne asada (broiled steak), that came with queso frito (fried cheese), maduros (sweet plantains), tajadas (plantain chips) and cabbage salad. Her food was very tasty as well. My favorite things to eat were the queso frito and maduros. We came when it was near closing time and they treated us well. Can’t wait to come back.
