So this wasnt my first time trying Peruvian food, and my girlfriend and I were super excited that we got recommended this place as a “must try”. Once we got there we got greeted and welcomed from the staff and everyone seemed happy to be there. Food wise: the food was AMAZING. I HIGHLY recommend the food. The ceviche was crazy, the QUALITY was definitely noticeable and they stuffed it with shrimp. The pollo was really juicy and super flavorful. Just imaging your momma or poppa making this type quality. The sauces… sheesh. I was mind blown to learn that they are all literally hand made every morning by the owners. You dont find that anywhere else. The salad and dressing was so good. Super fresh. And last but not least. The Lomo Saltado. This deserves a whole review on its own. This mixed with the green sauce is top foods in Pasadena easily. Highly highly recommend it. But, for the absolute best trio, get the ceviche, pollo, and lomo all together. The drinks were really good as well and super fresh. Coming to this restaurant will definitely be that one choice you make that you will be glad you did. The owners are awesome and super caring as well. Lovely addition to Pasadena. Pa. Look at how fresh and perfect that avocado is ♂️
Went there for lunch yesterday, great food great staff, the owners are amazing people! Parking: Big parking lot, but they are always packed because of the delicious food! Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Ridiculously delicious. Amazing great food with great service.
The lomo saltado is INSANELY delicious. The meat is fork tender and the sauce is the most flavorful I’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend.
Heard good things about this from a friend and went by to get some take out. To start with the good: seasoning of the pollo a la brasa was very good, and a good crisp to the skin. We also ordered the yucca fries and arroz chaufa lomo, and both were excellent. Pleasantly crunchy yucca fries and the arroz chaufa had a good ratio of rice, egg, and meat. The bad: 6 of the 16 pieces of chicken we ordered (2 whole chickens) were unhealthily pink, and blood still in the joints. We had to stop eating it and put it in the oven for another 20 minutes to ensure it was fully cooked through. I hope this is a one time occurrence and we get fully cooked chicken next time. Service was pleasant as all the employees were friendly, but the food quality has to be #1 Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance
From the moment you step through the door, the warm and inviting ambiance sets the stage for a memorable meal. The rustic decor, adorned with Peruvian cultural accents, creates an atmosphere that is both cozy and charming. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – their Pollos a la Brasa. El Dorado has mastered the art of rotisserie chicken, delivering a dish that is succulent, flavorful, and downright addictive. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, with a tantalizing blend of Peruvian spices that dance on your palate with every bite. The skin is crispy, providing a delightful contrast to the juicy and tender meat inside. It's no exaggeration to say that El Dorado's Pollos a la Brasa is the best I've ever had. But the excellence doesn't stop there. The menu boasts a variety of Peruvian classics, each executed with precision and care. Whether you opt for the Lomo Saltado, Ceviche, or Aji de Gallina, you can expect a burst of authentic flavors that transport you straight to the streets of Lima. The service at El Dorado is another highlight. The staff is friendly, attentive, and well-versed in the menu, offering recommendations with genuine enthusiasm. It's evident that the team takes pride in delivering a top-notch dining experience. While the portions are generous, the prices at El Dorado are surprisingly reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality of food and service provided. In conclusion, El Dorado Pollos a la Brasa is a Peruvian culinary haven that deserves every bit of acclaim it receives. Whether you're a Peruvian food aficionado or a first-timer, this restaurant is a must-visit. Prepare yourself for a gastronomic journey that will leave you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal.
