For the amount of food you get for the price, this place is awesome! I enjoyed the Carne Asada Quesadilla that was an appetizer. The service was excellent even though this place was packed! It might be a good idea to expand before the winter visitors get back! The chips and salsa were good although the salsa is practically water unless you get the more "Spicier" version which is also pretty watery. My service did a great job on the accuracy of my order and making sure my beverages did not run out. A very nice sit down place if you have the chance to come out and eat here.

I do love El Charro Cafe and have been coming here for my whole life. It is loud and can feel a little crowded but for 40 years I have ordered a bean rice and chees burrito red enchilada style and it has never disappointed me. The chips are fresh and light. My grandfather when I was little would eat the fresh salsa with a spoon. It is not hot, and we do add a lot of salt as a family to the chips and salsa. They do have hotter salsas at request. I also have always loved the cheese crisps and they are getting harder and harder to find in restaurants these days. If I have not been in for a while (even years when moving away) the same waitress recognizes me and my family and ask us why we it took so long to come back. After La Casa closed, and Chretin's moved, El Charro has been a foundation for our family and community.

The best homemade tortillas I ever ate. The food was delicious.

The cheese crisp was delicious. The entrees were ok. Service was a little slow but ok. It wasn't bad but I probably would not go back.

Sat out on the patio with our dogs and enjoyed a delicious meal and experienced fantastic service. Loved the "hotter" salsa and fresh chips.
