By far some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Their refried beans are unmatched and would probably win a best in the world award. The service is impeccable. All the staff are attentive, professional, and kind. The atmosphere is lively with Latin & Tejano music playing. The restaurant never got too loud either, which was nice. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good food.
Excelente lugar para una buena comida o cena, tambien buen servicio de bar. Claro que regresas.
The best refried beans I've had Vegetarian options: My daughter is a vegetarian and loves the spinach enchiladas
El Chapparal is a great atmosphere, good quality dishes with space and rqsy, free parking. Located at Loop 1604 and Redland Road, this location has regular mariachi group that elevates your entertainment during dinner. A large back room that does close off from the rest of restaurant and is available for sizeable groups. From traditional Mexican plates to seafood or steak options, and the delicious fideo loco with Piccadilly meat and Pinto beans - highly recommend this comfort food if you need warmth or just the taste of home cooking. Table side guacamole is so fresh, and all variation of enchiladas are quite good. Each meal begins with their popular bean spupserved prior to any appetizer. A great San Antonio way to warm up your palette for anything you choose to try! Kid friendly, bar area with good drink choices including the margarita schooner which will be plenty in just one dose! Parking: Small shopping center parking but nothing too far from doors
We had the best time here on a date night. My sister was right- margaritas are great, our food was great but after smelling the fajitas walk by I’m going to try that next time! The mariachi band was friendly and engaging & the vibe in the restaurant was good.
All restaurants are getting expensive.
Delicious food and great service
