El Azteca Taco Shop

Best Breakfast Burrito in town in my opinion. The downside is they close early but the food is fantastic and worth parking walking in and ordering. This is the old school taco shop and still one of the best.

Posting the menu from our visit in Dec 2023 since the website is a bit wonky. Favorite Mexican food in the area, prices are reasonable and lots of options. Tacos were our favorite dish. Plaza isn’t the greatest, right next to 7/11 and some people loitering nearby. But safe enough to just grab your food and leave.

We eat here everytime we come to vist in San Diego. Great food, great price and a free soda included. They were so accomodating to my request for a valentines setup to surprise my wife. Oscar even furnished the music player for the smooth Jazz music. This was perfect!

This is definitely a hidden gem of La mesa. Breakfast burritos are delicious and not greasy. They are so stingy though on hot sauce. Which doesn’t make sense because if you dine in, you get access to the entire bottle. But they do not give more than four tiny hot sauces for 1 burrito. One of the tiny hot sauce containers is enough for two bites of a burrito.

Local taco shop, pretty good for all the taco shops in San Diego.

The food was good, and it had better. But it was reasonably priced. I got the mixed burrito with a side of rice. Filled me UP!! Better options out there for sure, however. Maybe not as cheap, though. Definitely best bang for your buck!
