I love cafes in old churches (a not so uncommon phenomenon south of the Mason-Dixon) and Eileen's hit that spot! More importantly, the food! It's not indicated anywhere in the cafe, but online there is a note that the chef will whip up a special, on-demand vegan sandwich by request. I asked and oh boy did she deliver. Potatoes, onions, peppers, chopped pecans and walnuts, all on a gorgeous vegan brioche bun... Chefferz is amazing and I am so glad I let her work her magic!!! Highly recommend!!!

Food is always great. Neat little backyard patio area. Be careful you may enjoy the chocolate pastry too much,you may wear it!! Delicious!!

Hate to speak in absolutes, but there is no question this is the best bakery in Fredericksburg. Breakfast burritos, casseroles, sticky buns, lattes, creative lunch options and seasonal pastries all nestled away in an old church building in historic downtown Fredericksburg. If you’re going to a bakery, it’s not even close, you’re doing yourself a disservice by not choosing Eileen’s.

Waste of money, time, and what a way to ruin a 3 yrs old girls birthday. At first I was quite impressed with the ratings, and the reviews of other customers, so I called this place to order a birthday cake for my 3 yrs old daughter. Once I brought the cake home, and after my daughter having cut the cake, I found out that this cake was probably brought back from the dumpster by this Eileen’s Bakery, and they put new icing on it to sell it. It smells bad, and it tastes awful. I now regret even leaving a tip. This is just horrible to ruin a 3 yrs old kids birthday like this. I didn’t expect the cake to be this awful at all. I wish I could give it a zero star. It all went straight to the garbage.

Absolute best coffee and pastries. I come here almost daily for my iced vanilla latte and the staff is so amazing. They remember my order and ask me about my day. This is the quintessential small town feel missing from so many places. Try the lavender shortbread cookie!!
