A friendly and welcoming place, whether you want a cocktail, wine or a full meal. Spacious with beautiful decor. Effervescence is a classy place to meet friends or to gather for Sunday Brunch. Their Caviar and Bagel brunch is spectacular and enough to split with a friend. The service is quick, cheerful and very good. They also have a great wine list as well as a full cocktail bar. Effervescence offers a different concept than many other establishments in the French Quarter, in a very good way. I would highly recommend stopping in for a beverage or more when in the French Quarter.

Go for the atmosphere. I loved their secluded courtyard with all their plants and greenery around their gorgeous fountain. It was a wonderful escape for the chaos of N Rampart, especially since it took me almost an hour to find off-street parking. The night jasmine was a wonderful unexpected gift and was a highlight of the experience. I also enjoyed the glass surrounding the kitchen so you are able to check them making your dishes. However, the food was weakest part of the champagne bar. I knew it would be small bites. But I honestly wasn't expecting to spend over $60 on food alone and still leave hungry. Everything I tried was one-toned (very salty). Their deviled eggs were the worst offender. The 3 eggs did not adequately counteract the saltiness of the caviar at all. Even getting the fish eggs on the side didn't help the salt content of this dish. The dijon aioli was the same thing. There was no dijon flavor. It just tasted like oily creamy salt. Honestly, everything tasted like it came from Sysco, despite their description on the menu. I also wasn't a fan of qr code only menus. What happens if you don't have a smart phone or if it's dead/dying? You just don't eat? Unfortunately, service wasn't much better. I didn't get silverware, and there were no refills on the water, despite the salt content. I had to ask several times for ketchup, as well as the bill. FYI: Bathroom was clean, and hostess was outstanding. I also saw several tables with kids.
