I was there for an interview but it was very clean calm soothing atmosphere and the staff were very nice

They have a great lunch menu that is quite affordable and casual. They have a preset menu and a la carte as well. PS. They also have one of the best happy hours in the city that includes all their cocktails.

I’ve been taking my parents here for special occasions for a number of years. This time it was their 57th anniversary. It also happened to be restaurant week so we got to try some new offerings. The steak is always delicious. Mom and I like to get the creamy horseradish sauce with ours and dad like Oscar filet.

Wasn't pleased with the attitude from our waiter. I have had him before and same thing happened.

I had rather a fantastic time at Eddie Merlot’s few nights ago. I went for a business meeting and we had the best time ever with our clients. The food was just great; the steak would melt in my mouth with minimal chewing. The vibe was mellow and relaxed. The service time was strategic, and our waiter did a phenomenal job ensuring the table was serviced at all time. Their booze selection was very interesting as well, and they knew how to make my drink just by the name of it. The bill was, well, we all know how the bill was, BUT, as Jordan Bilfort once said “Tell them about the sides you ordered!”. Very highly recommended for a formal steak dining experience.

My husband and I decided to come here during the last day of Pittsburgh restaurant week and I'm glad that I did. From the appetizers to the entrée to the dessert, everything was so delicious . Parking: we were lucky enough to get street parking since it was a Sunday night but I can see how street parking can be limited based on the location. We were told that they do validate for their parking lot so that would be the easiest option. Staff: everyone from the entrance was very warming and engaged. The waitresses helped each other and made sure we didn't need anything. Food: The starter bread was so soft and the butter complimented it very well. Appetizers: My husband had the Caesar salad and I had a cup of King of Crab corn bisque which was so good. If you don't like corn I would probably stay away from it because you can taste the flavor. Entrées: My husband had the filet mignon and I had the blackened salmon which was amazing. It was seasoned so good. We did order a side of Brussel sprouts which were okay. Other than our extra side I was very happy and surprised that the sides came with the meal because the other restaurant I went to we had to purchase the sides separately. Dessert: My husband had the cheesecake which he really enjoyed ans I had the triple chocolate cake which was exactly the name. It was a lot of chocolate but that was expected. It was yummy but I did remove the chocolate chips. Overall we had a wonderful date night at a wonderful establishment. We would definitely be back.

Went here during Restaurant Week. Good food, had the grilled salmon. Very nice waiter who made sure we had a great time.

My wife & I came here during “restaurant week”. Appetizers: sweet & spicy shrimp***, crab cakes*** & filet mognon potstickers Entree: Caesar salads Lemon Dijon Chicken w/mashed potatoes & asparagus Deserts: chocolate cake & carrot cake (too sweet 4 me) 6oz steak w/ mashed potatoes & green beans….the place was nice, our food was good. Jacqueline, our server, timed bringing & taking our food perfectly.
