This wasn’t a good dining experience for us unfortunately. We started off with oysters and they were served to us dry. I’ve never come across a completely dry oyster. Ever. The whole experience was not pleasant and felt cheap. We also had steaks and ordered a side of mac&cheese, everything was dried out. It felt like our food was sitting under heat lamp for a long period of time and we were very upset to be paying the premium for what we ended up with. We heard multiple conversations around us from others sending food and drinks back. We won’t be back.
This place is amazing love the food and staff!
I don’t often leave a five star review for a dinner that didn’t go exactly as planned, but I felt compelled to in this case. The restaurant made a mistake and brought a typical sirloin instead of the Wagyu beef that we ordered. But they went out of their way to make it right by, taking care of us with some great wine and dessert. Any place that understands the value of a positive impression at the cost of a few extras is worth going back to.
Food was up and down. Appetizers were good but the steak was tough.
This was my 1st time at Eddie Merlot's and it was great!!! Service was great and offered suggestions. We had the calamari that was tender(not chewy) with a light tempura batter and the dipping sauces were really good. My favorite was the Wasabi one. The king crab corn bisque was incredible and velvety smooth. The steaks were cooked perfectly and tender enough to be cut by a butter knife. Definitely will be back.
Been 9 years.....not nearly as good as it was....luke warm soup....over cooked BBQ shrimp.....won't be back.....
