Way overpriced, even for downtown Chicago. This may have been the most overrated place I’ve ever been to. I ordered a 5oz glass of wine and a just okay meat/cheese board and spent $70. My 2 teenagers couldn’t find anything that sounded good on the menu so they just had water. Also there were lots of flies buzzing around us and it’s 35 degrees outside in early March so that was disturbing as well. Very disappointing because this place was recommended to me as a cool and fun place for families and children. I didn’t see what was fun about it. Clearly it was a bad recommendation but several different ppl mentioned this place, so I thought I was good to go. We left and ate at our hotel afterwards. Weird experience Update: it’s later in the day and we came back to the JW Marriott member lounge and they are serving the same exact meats/cheeses as Eataly for free. I’d bet it’s prepackaged foods if hotels are using same product for happy hour.
Pizza was cold and soggy! Arancini were greasy! Salad full of oil! Service was sub par at best!
Make sure you try the gelato! Fun place!
Fantastic selection of Mediterranean groceries. Lots of fresh meal options as well. Unimpressed with the Kobe steaks compared to others, but the truffle and cheese selections are top notch Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator available
We come back to Eataly every time we are in Chicago. Love this place! The pizza is light and great for a a snack. The donuts and Cannoli are surprisingly light and not full of sugar like the American versions. We always grab focaccia, cheese and some meats to go.
Food is wonderful. Atmosphere is cafeteria style with serve yourself. The Gelato was amazing! My favorite was pistacchio
BOTTOMLINE: Great Italian food paired with sophisticated red and white wines at a high price and poor service. PROS: Huge variety of pizzas, pastas, seafood, quality beer and wine, all in one market inspiring place. Multiple paid parking options with validation discounts for Eataly guests. If you prefer, access by foot, bike or public transportation is easy. CONS: Service is friendly but inconsistent. You may need to chase a waiter or not get service, period. Prices are too high for the service level. You can find similar quality places within a block, offering premium customer service. Parking is expensive, despite the validation.
An amazing place! We visited La Pizza La Pasta yesterday with a family of 7. Everyone ordered way different dishes and it was 100% great! As a bonus we had a chance to buy a lot of good things for home!
Absolutely delicious, everything fresh and flavorful.
