This place is about as mid as it gets. Serving sizes are very small espcially for the price.
So sorry for what happened to this place , used to love it , but now they do less food , more expensive , I payed 16 dollars for a por belly meshi and no joke it had less that 3 spoons of rice and they charged me extra mor Mayo , a lot of options are sold out (always) and service not good either . Also they started using all plastic when they used boxes before .
Was it the best wonton I've ever had including the 12 years I've lived in Asia? No of course not. But was it the worst wonton ever? Actually yes. The wrapping to filing ratio was like 10:1 and the filing had no bite. It was mushy like mashed potato. The wrapping was over boiled. It would have been better to actually serve fries and just dump the herbs and spices on top of it. It'll pass as gourmet here in Austin The pork belly bowl was not as bad. Way better than Loro's but that's not saying much. The flavors here complement and not clash, but I feel like it was more due to luck than actually understanding Asian cuisine.. because if they did, they would have at least cut the pork belly into smaller pieces
This used to be one of my favorite places but the massive price increases after the past 2 year pandemic are just too much to stomach. The veggie Bento went from 10 to 17.09 and many other places I patronize have not gone up this much.

There is NO CLEAR SIGNAGE and the restaurant itself does a poor job of making it clear where to park. YOU WILL GET A BOOT even if you park in front of the restaurant for seconds. ***DO NOT GO HERE!!!****
We love East Side King! We hired them to cater the welcome party for our wedding with 100+ guests. We really wanted a food truck option, and while they didn't have one initially because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they worked with us and we were able to get one as things opened back up again. During our correspondence, at times it took a follow up email or two to get a response. But they were very flexible with our menu changes and the various food allergies of ours guests. And on the day of, they showed up early and did a fantastic job. The food was DELICIOUS and our guests kept saying how much they loved it.
