Wonderful staff, great tasting food. Orders are made fast even when they are busy. Great egg rolls.
Nice and friendly atmosphere and I love the food
A problem I have at alot of Chinese food places is that the chicken can sometimes be... suspicious. Mushy or hard or tastes weird. Not here! All of their meats are AMAZING! The sweet and sour chicken is absolutely delectable and the sweet and sour sauce is DELISH! Their eggrolls arent really good. The crab rangoons are very good but have little filling. Still I believe this is a small price to pay when I eat 100% of my main meal here where as other Chinese places I typically pick around and eat the chicken pieces that look edible. Also their beef is very good and dumplings were great too!
Worse place ever...dont ever order fried rice..you will just get regular rice not fried..we literary had to make it to fried rice..and the front lady dont even apologize..bad attitude..so good luck if u want to taste the rice..
The lady working at the counter has a horrible attitude doesn’t have manners on how to talk to people. Her attitude alone will be the reason I will never go back!
I wanted to give this place hope since they are on the cheaper end of local Chinese American spots. But I should have prepared myself for the meal I was about to receive... Prior reviews left me wondering if I was about to have a good experience or a not so pleasant one. I can honestly say that East Gourmet delivers mixed reviews, and that is spot on! The menu is limited compared to other Chinese American spots, but not too far out of the ordinary. The egg roll was OK, but left a bad aftertaste. (You'll see the common theme shortly...) the chicken wings were again, just OK, but also left a bad aftertaste and were lacking much flavor. The wonton soup was seriously lacking flavor (thank the heavens I keep msg on stash) and the actual wonton left a weird aftertaste...again! The beef lomein was lacking and the beef was also on the lower end of quality. Gray and flavorless and as you may have guessed it, left a bad aftertaste. The same can be said for the pork spareribs dinner combo (which was small and compared to a "lunch sized" serving from other locations). The rice was bland and the ribs were lacking that familiar "sweet red sauce" flavor we all know. I truly think the "weird aftertaste" is due to a lack of changing oils or the woks they use aren't cleaned consistently. The lack of flavor issues are consistent with most Chinese American spots here in Central Florida. The food didn't make me sick, so that is one plus, I guess. Ciao!
I’m so picky when it comes to Chinese food, being from NY. I ordered the house lomein with general tso chicken. That food was fire!!! So delicious
This WAS my favorite Chinese food. It WAS so good that I didn't go anywhere else. But it has new ownership and all our old favorites are awful. Looking for new place.
The food was horrible. My bourbon chicken tasted like chicken with ketchup on it and the fried rice had no flavor, or vegetables, and didn’t even taste fried. I will never buy food here again!
